Meet Dani
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I’ve dedicated nearly a decade to the practice of psychotherapy. I’m thoroughly trained in evidence-based practices, with a passion for treating anxiety, OCD, and prenatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. My background includes experience and knowledge in treating:
Anxiety and mood disorders
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Prenatal and Postpartum Mood/Anxiety Disorders
Burnout
Grief and Loss
Life Transitions
Relationship Stress and Concerns
Career Issues and Changes
Panic and Phobias
An integrative approach
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Every client has different experiences, symptoms, and goals. I pull from various areas of my training, adapting to each individual I work with. Our work together will pull from the following therapeutic modalities:
Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
Mindfulness
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
A bit more about me.
I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Human & Organizational Development, and Child Development. I love learning about how people grow, change, and function.
After working as a Management Consultant for four years, I knew I wanted to enact change at the individual level. So I moved to Chicago and went back to school to become a therapist. I studied at the University of Chicago’s School of Social Work, learning from thought leaders in the area.
I’ve now been working as an individual therapist for almost a decade. I love getting to know people, their ins and outs, what makes them tick- and helping them identify what’s working, and what’s not. I get so much fulfillment and joy out of what I do.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me at a playground with my kids, playing fetch with my dog, or watching a murder mystery doc on the couch to unwind.
